Why boudoir?

I know what you’re thinking: that you would love to try boudoir photography but there is just something holding you back. Well, trust me when I say that everyone has those feelings before stepping into the studio - and even as a photographer, I’ve been there (and my brain still goes there) too. It is normal to be a little nervous or shy or to worry about how you may feel during or after a session. Heck, most people have some reservations posing in front of a camera with their clothes on!

What I can promise you though, is that boudoir is an experience that you will cherish for the rest of your life. It a form of art that celebrates the beauty of every human that steps through those doors. It pushes you just far enough out of your comfort zone, and will help you build and maintain confidence that goes well beyond the surface. This experience does not care about your weight, age, relationship status, or any other circumstance you think of that might 'define' you. You are perfect and ready, just the way you are, and I can’t wait to show you.

So, how does this work?

 

  • To book your session in the studio, there is a $375 (+ GST) session fee. This includes professional makeup application, up to 2 hours hours of shooting time, access to the client closet containing hundreds of pieces ranging from XXS to 5XL, your favourite digital image, a virtual or in-person reveal session, and professional retouching of your final selected images.

  • Prior to your session, I will send you emails with prepping tips and everything you need to know to feel your absolute best when walking into the stuio!

    On the day of your session, you will plan to arrive at 10:00 AM and jump right into hair and makeup. This time is so great becuase we chat, drink coffee (sometimes something stronger), you get glammed by our incredible makeup artist. By the time hair and makeup is done, the butterflies go away and I promise you will already start to feel like the goddess or god that you are. After this, you try out outfits, choose your two favourites from the client closet and we get to work! Typically, we finish shooting by 1 PM and then we schedule your reveal session! Your reveal session happens within a week of your session and thats when you get to see all of your beautiful images for the first time! <3

  • My favourite part of the whole session is the reveal. It is such an emotional time and I love being able to see your reaction as you see yourself the way others see you for the first time. It is here that we go over purchases or substitutions from collections and order any desired prints, products or digitals. Digital images and products are purchased separately, and I do offer custom payment plans. <3
